The school was set up by Paul Kirtley with the aim of not only teaching wilderness skills but also taking people to, and guiding people in, wilderness areas where these skills can be fully utilised.

The emphasis of our bushcraft courses and wilderness expeditions is on you gaining first hand experience of applying the skills taught and negotiating the terrain of the environments visited.

Frontier Bushcraft course and expedition leaders are hand-picked for their experience, professionalism and friendliness. They are dedicated outdoors men and women, who earn their living from teaching and guiding people in the great outdoors.

www.sentinaloutdoorinstitute.com provides wilderness and rural medical training, risk management consulting and first aid supplies throughout the United States, Mexico and Central America. They are now African Environments preferred training partners for the Bi-Annual recertification of all our guides WILDERNESS FIRST RESPONDER qualifications. African Environments and Sentinal also partnered to provide training for the guides of other Tour Operators and Outfitters in Tanzania in an attempt to raise the general level of first aid awareness and care. We are working together to offer further courses which will be open to general registration.

www.carbontanzania.com is a not for profit organisation governed by a small group of professional conservationists and scientists dedicated to channeling funds for offsetting carbon emissions towards the regeneration of critical natural habitats while simultaneously creating economic benefits for local communities.
